Biography

          "Chairs"  / Stand Clear series , wall sculpture

This summer I will again be exhibiting sculpture at Governor's Island in New York City. 
The exhibit titled "Encounters" is a juried show organized by the Sculptors Guild in N.Y.C. This is my third season out on the Island.


Biography

My art has been exhibited in galleries and museums nationally and internationally.
Articles about the sculpture I create have appeared several times in The New York Times. I have also had articles in The International Herald Tribune, New York Newsday, New York Daily News, and Art News Magazine. “Rail Riders’ Throne” is included in the book “
Along the Way: MTA Arts for Transit".

Segments about my artwork have also appeared on ABC Television and on Paragon Cable.  My sculpture has been shown in films created for Chevron and Avid Technology. I received an Invitational Grant to work with the chemists at Engelhard Corporation, to create color pigments for powder coating my sculptures.

Syracuse University, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Sculpture.
University of California Berkeley, College Teaching Credential. 

Teaching

Currently I am an adjunct art professor in the Fine Arts Department of The New York Institute of Technology and The New School University.   In the past I have taught at Parsons School of Design, New Jersey City University, The Sculpture Center, The Educational Alliance, Chabot College, and The Third Ward Art School.
